Our mission

For more than 30 years, we have supported the MSPP in strengthening the Haitian health system. 

Our mission is to provide a preferential option for the poor in health care.
By building long-term relationships with the Haitian government, ZL strives to achieve two overarching goals: bring the benefits of modern medical science to those who need them most, and serve as an antidote to despair.

An antidote to injustice 

Quality health care is a universal human right. We fight injustice by providing care first to those who need it most.

What motivates us

We refuse to accept that one life is worth less than another

We are a social justice organization that responds to the moral imperative of delivering high-quality health care globally to those who need it most. We strive to alleviate suffering by providing a comprehensive model of care that includes access to food, transportation, shelter, and other key elements of healing. We bring the benefits of modern medicine to those who have suffered the manifest and subtle injustices of the world, past and present. We refuse to accept that one life is worth less than another.
